Challenge
A growing company was running on outdated hardware with no centralised user management, no proper backup strategy and recurring downtime affecting daily operations. The client needed a modern, reliable infrastructure that could scale with the business.
Solution
Designed and deployed an end-to-end IT infrastructure from scratch:
- Server setup — installed and configured Windows Server 2022 with Hyper-V virtualisation, hosting domain controller, file server and application servers as separate VMs.
- Active Directory — built AD domain with OU structure, Group Policy for workstation management, security policies and centralised software deployment.
- Microsoft 365 migration — moved email from on-premise Exchange to Exchange Online, configured SharePoint for document storage and Teams for company communications.
- Networking — structured cabling, VLAN segmentation to separate office, server and guest traffic, configured managed switches and a pfSense firewall.
- Backup & recovery — implemented a 3-2-1 backup strategy with daily incremental backups and monthly restore tests.
Result
The company moved from reactive firefighting to a stable, monitored environment. IT incidents dropped by over 70% in the first six months. Users gained seamless access to corporate resources from office and remote locations.
